Neutering appears to have a mediocre success rate,
from the accounts I have read and heard about.
However, I talked to my vet regarding that, out of
curiosity. He feels that the use of hormones (progesterone
I think) about a month after neutering increases
the chances of the procedure to succeed. He described
a past case which over a progressive period of 5 years after the
procedure resulted in a very sweet male lizard. I don't
know any full details, like dosage, frequency, duration.....
I'm trying to follow a case that was done 2 months
ago on a 5 (I think) year old male.
I have a writeup to do with questions to pass to
my vet and hope that he can answer them regarding this
topic. Should I find anything soon, I'll let u know.
