Debbie...like was suggested..maybe getting the towel in a sling like..wadding top in a ball, holding it with one hand & giving the shot with the other. It is a subcutaneous needle right? (a little maybe 1/4 inch long needle?) If needle is any bigger I definately would get help. Neosporin (topical ointment) on snout would be helpful too.
I have to give shots all the time at work, but I sure hate gettin em! As far as making it less painful .. those SQ ones aren't painful..if done quickly.
