Hi, I wait until the patient is a sleep and go in while it is dark using a flashlight with a red filter (they can't see you). Get it wrapped in a towel and on a table at a comfortable working level before turning on the lights. Try to keep the head covered as it helps keep them calm. I have also found that putting a moderate amount of down pressure on their back seems to help. Uncover as small as possible location to do the job. Do the deed and try to hold your finger over the injection site for a few seconds. Massage the area for a moment and put Iggy back to bed. See how easy that is! :-) Have fun shooting your buddy.
