i think you can kinda compare it to pulling a scab off before it's *100%* ready ~ it comes off easily + doesn't really hurt, but since it was only 99% ready to come off, you get a couple drops o' blood along with it ... if you had *really* pulled off the tip of the spike, he'd have felt it *and* let you know that he felt it ...

sounds like it bothered *you* more than Lizard! (yep, i know that feeling!!!)

personal opinion here ~ don't use hydrogen peroxide ~ it STINGS!!! (+ yes, i AM a wimp! *grin*)

give Lizard some xtra head/back rubs and a nice nummy and apologize profusely ~ that'll help *you* feel better and Lizard will enjoy it as well!
