Calcium suppliment??

Does anyone use a calcium suppliment? I was given a bottle of Four Paws Nature's Reptile Calcium suppliment with my first ig years ago and have used it religiously since ( spray only, they just turn there noses up and refuse to eat if I use a powder). My vet has recommended that I continue using the suppliment but I haven't heard of anyone else ever using it....I live in the boonies and have to admit that I cannot always get the best fresh produce, but I do what I can and my igs seem very healthy. The label on the bottle claims to have the 2:1 calcium/phosphorous ratio and the ingredients (in order) are: Water, Calcium Phosphate Dibasic, Vitamin A, Vitamid D3, Polysorbate 20, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Methylparaben, EDTA, and Fragrance. Should I continue to use or is this just a waste of money ($15.00/16 oz)? Is there anything in it that may be unhealthy for my igs?
