Well I believe this is a problem. Sure they are stubborn and don't want to soil their cage. Would you want to crap on your favorite chair or your bed everyday? My bearded dragon who isn't potty trained will try to hold it until he can go outside his cage anyway. I have succesfully trained my iguanas and my friend's too. They take to it naturally. I am not saying that yours can be trained to go in a specific area, but it sounds like she wants to if she is refusing to go in her cage. This is kind of cruel on your part because it can be harmful to her health and lead to toxic buildup (which could eventually lead to death). If she likes to poop on something soft, just get a bunch of cheapo towels from the dollar store or a garage sale (change them out everyday she goes). You need to re-establish a relationship with your ig-- take her out! You have a nice sized cage, but let her walk around some after she has gone to the bathroom. If she has not gone in a few days, I still say if you put her in a tub of warm water, this will stimulater her to go (it is almost instinct). Do this everyday eventually and you'll have a potty trained ig that will wait for bathtime to go (and stop going around the house which means you can let her roam around after potty time in the evening).

Here is a link to my latest cage. If you like the style, I would suggest making it bigger if she will spend all her time in the cage. Good luck and keep us posted.
