Keeping the stump clean

As said earlier, my Trella had a bit of her tail amputated. however, the stump left is fleshy and not just dry yet. Should There be any kind of ointment I should apply. I was told to let it air out. So far, there is no odd odor, or pus. There is a slight clear fluid discharge that gets tinted by some of the scab. Any suggestions...Oh yeah, she is on antibiotics.
