what i'm wondering is ~ has he ever been tested/treated for parasites? that could affect his appetite as well as his poop ...

also depending on his age, the appetite could be a "growth spurt" related thing ...

input and output *are* very important indicators of health ... i'd keep a close eye on both ...
very probably it's nothing ~ or hormones ...

but ... don't automatically assume that behavior changes are hormone-related! if you're still worried after a few more days, take him in for a check up!!!
