To keep guard???

Sometimes when rubbed in the head iguanas close only one eye.I suppose they do that to keep guard against predators with one eye while enjoying being rubbed.I dont think they close one eye to pretend you are not there!Because they never do that when they see me but only when I rub them or when I talk to them with a very sweet voice!!!
