Three side of the cage are the closet wall and the front is plexiglass. No little fingers can poke. It is 7 ft long 2 1/2 ft wide and about 14" tall. This is just until this summer. Then doors will be put on and she will have up to 6ft high. The cage top is 5ft long and made out of a wood frame with metal window screen and then hardware cloth on top of that. Only using the window screen cause Sneakers is still small enough to possibly get throught the hardware cloth. The top is durable, heavy and doesn't stay open on its own. We use a dowl to keep it open. It all is very simple for us to use, but a little child should have found it very difficult. Think again. The good thing is that because of the length of the enclosure, a little girl on a chair trying to hold the top open while reaching for our pretty Sneakers wouldn't have much arm length. On both sides of the enclosure are hide spots for Sneakers. I'm sure that Sneakers mainly ran from side to side, then the little girl would have to get down and reposition the chair then try again.
We have branches going up under the lighting, a pile of rocks under cooler lighting, a big water dish under the branches and two hide spots one at the hot end and one at the cool end of the cage. It has been without greenery so that we can get Sneakers easier. I am hopefully buying the silk vines today. That might give Sneakers a little more feeling of security hiding amongst the leaves and she will be happier.
I just wish my friend would get those pictures scanned. I have good pictures of Sneakers and her enclosure. I would love to post them. I would love to buy our own scanner, but then look out, I'd be posting pictures all the time. It would be like that friend with the home movies. LOL
