Please don't leave your iguana alone that long! I too will be going on vacation for 8 days in July, and will have to board my iguana. I feel your pain, it's NOT cheap. Check the place out well, if they are reputable and of high quality, it's worth it! Iguanas need daily care. They need food daily, and if they are very well potty trained may try to hold it and cause themselves discomfort of even health problems. If they are not potty trained, the enclosure will be a disaster after 8 days, and very unhealthy. When I go on vacation, my parents will be coming every other day to take care of my chameleon, which is less than optimal, but chameleons stress too much at a change in situation (like boarding). Even though they will be there every other day, I am still going to board JJ while I am away. (Also, I sensed apprehention in my mom's voice when she asked if she'd have to handle JJ!)
: i am going on vacation for 8 days and wondered if i fed my iguanas alot the day and day before alot would they be fine without food for that long. i have timers for the heat lamp and would leave a big bowl of water but dont want them to feel starved. please let me know. the pet sitters here are expensive.
