>>now im really grateful that i made the sugar water instead of buying the pedialyte! <<

i don't believe that an animal/child can "overdose" on Pedialyte ~ but would like to agree to disagree on that point (cuz i'm more asleep than awake for one thing ~ :) )... but ...

i want to emphasize what Flavia said about her "home remedy" ... she isn't giving *just* sugar water, she is mixing sugar, SALT and water ... and that is an extremely important detail!!!
(i've also seen "recipes" that add "baking soda" ~ sodium bicarbonate ...)

*Dehydration* is caused by a loss of fluids to the point where the body has also lost electrolytes/minerals that the body needs to function ... (Sodium, Potassium, Calcium ...)

plain water will help a bit, but *does not* replace the lost electrolytes ...

plain sugar water is NOT a good idea ~ the sugar can draw water into the intestines and away from the rest of the body, making the risk of dehydration greater ...

ok ... i HAVE to go nite-nite now ...

best wishes + good luck!
