Iguanas are so cheap in petstores that people buy them for their kids all the time-- most of them die from improper care...while the majority of the ones not dead, are dumped on rescuers in deplorable condition (deformed with MBD). You can get a hold of a free iguana so easily-- no one places much value on them (except those who really love them...like here!) It is a sad state of affairs.
