since igs "taste" EVERYTHING, at least *some* of that sand is gonna get eaten ... eat too much and it IS going to cause an impaction which WILL KILL the iguana ~ and not in a quick/painless way ...

how much is "too much"??? i don't know for sure ~ and that's the point, don't risk it!

i don't care WHAT the manufacturers of this crap say, they do NOT have ANY animal's best interest in mind, they are thinking of their wallets ... eating sand is NOT good for iguanas ~ PERIOD ~ no, EXCLAMATION POINT ...

as for cleaning her enclosure everyday ...
ummmmmmmmm, if THAT seems like too much work for you, maybe you shouldn't have a pet????
would YOU like to be stuck in a nice warm + humid outhouse for days in a row? igs don't like it either ...

given the choice and chance, igs tend to prefer going somewhere *outside* their enclosure ... it's just that younger igs (+ some older ones!) tend to relieve themselves multiple times a day and so what you need is a nice *SAFE* ig "litter box" ... igs *usually* pick out one spot to "go" in anyway ...
