It can take up to 72 hours to kill some parasites, ones that have an oocyst (egg), larva, and adult forms need strong bleach-water soaks for 3 consecutive days to make sure all forms of the parasite are killed. One day's cleaning will only kill some larva and most if not all of the adults, it will leave eggs behind. These can hatch and infect the new iguanas.
Please make sure the shop owner watches the new iguanas carefully and seeks veterinary care at the first sign of any illness (diarrhea, listlessness, lack of appetite, avoiding basking spot, etc.)
