how long without eating

hey guys!we rescued a juvenile iguana 2days ago from neglectful owners.i posted some ?'s here yesterday about possibly having to force feed him because he hasn't eaten on his own since being here and i don't the the owners had feed him for a couple of days before we got him.Also they have not been using uvb light since they've had him (a few months)all in all he is a sick little guy.so the ? is should i force feed him baby food with a syringe tonight or just give him alittle longer?how long can he go.?thanks. oh,i have been letting him get natural sunlight should this maybe help his apppetite?
