Cage

I had just built my 3 ft. Iguana a new cage, it is 6 ft tall, 8 ft long, and 32 inches wide. I built a box and put sand in it, he wont leave the sand box, he loves it, he just lays there and hangus out. Anways, my question is, I put a rather large contaioner in there with water for him, and all he does with it is goes to the bathroom in it! How can I give him water to drink if he poops in his water?
