need 2nd opinion fast!!!!!!!!

Hi there.This is another sad story of an abused iggy, whom i have taken in my home and try to save now :-( i have him in my home now for 6 months, at first it looked like he was getting better, but 2 weeks ago he stoped eating, i have fed him myself now for two weeks, he now tries to eat, but only very little pieces, and he looks like he's in a lot of pain, because he's hand is all swollown up. eventhough i checked him well since he got in. i have never noticed the swollowed hand. My iggy has an infection in his hand. i've already been to the vet twice, and now he gets antibiotics...but has anyone any experience, or good results with it. because in the past i know of an iggy whom has been treated with the antibiotica: Baytrill, with no succes.He didn't make it :-((. So is it wise to use this antibiotica?i also got baytrill..0,05Ml per day from the vet . And because of the infection his middle finger has got necrotics (necrose) he wil amputate it's finger :-(. Please has anyone any experience with this?
