I've kept a Ctenosaurus similis for 4 years now. She's female, a little over 2 feet in length, and not especially tame. Spinys usually remain kind of skittish and nontrusting. They do make interesting pets tho. I feed mine the same as I do my green and Cyclura iguanas meaning they get salad every day. I also include some animal protein in my Spiny's diet...but only a few times a month. She likes superworms, earthworms and fuzzy mice. I have her in a 4x4x6H enclosure and she utilizes all of it. I use a PowerSun mercury vapor bulb on her 12 hours a day. If you have any further questions feel free to post on the Ctenosaur forum. I check it every day.
