It seems like you should not be saddled with the responsibility of caring for your step-brother's ig as well as your own. Have you discussed the situation with your parents/step-parents? It seems terribly unfair that you feel the need to give up your own ig but will still be taking care of an ig that is actually someone else's responsibility.

That said, it is important to consider the iguanas' well-being first. If you feel you do not have time to take care of your own iguana, much less someone else's, then my opinion would be that both iguanas need to find more permanent homes. Do some very serious thinking about what you are actually capable of giving to each of the animals and make that, over anything else, the primary factor when making your decision. Good luck,
