to really think about it first. Possibly you should tell your step brother to care for his own iggy. If he's afraid of it and doesn't give it attention maybe you should find HIS iggy a new home with a caring keeper. Then you'd have time for your ig. I know what you mean about school. I'm in college and I know it's tough sometimes but if you prioritize your time right you can do it. But the bottome line is I really think you should do what's best.
Take Care,
Frank
: I know it is difficult, but if you can't provide it with proper care, then you must make the right decision which is to adopt it out. I'd do the same with your brothers and tell him it got loose or something,b ecause he obviously doesn't care enough to take care for it, so it's really no loss for him.

: : I am thinking about getting my Iggy a home. I am not sure, if I want to but am seriosly thinking about it. I just don't have alot of time to spend with it. I do not have the time to bathe it everyday, clean it's cage all every day. I am in school and am busy with all my other animals and school work. I don't have the money to keep up with it eathier. I mean my parents are buying the food, I still need to get it a new bigger cage that it can have to its self. It is sharing a aqurium that is about 5 ft long, with my step brothers Iggy which I take care of too. My step brother is here every other weeked and is at his moms the rest of the time. When he is here he does not go and see his Iggy, and get this, HE IS AFRAID TO EVEN HOLD BUT WANTS TO KEEP IT!!! So I am caring for 2 Iggy's and have barley any time. So I am thinking about finding mine a home. I like him alot and don't know what I want to do with him yet, because I am going to miss it tons but want it to go to a good home with someone who can give it proper care, attention and love. His name is Merlin he is about a year and a half, he is about a foot long, is pretty friendly but still a bit skittish. I have not had him for even a year yet. He has never been to the vet, and has been under a UVB light most of his life. I was planning on saving up my money this summer and taking Merlin to the vet and getting him a cage, but the lady I was going to babysit for had a change of plans and I am not going to babysit, so there goes the money for his vet visit and cage. If anyone here is in Oregon and may be interested in giving my Iggy a new home please let me know. Also what do you all think, would it be better to find Merlin a home, with an experienced Iggy owner who can give him proper care?
: : Thanks,
