I could have sworn that someone posted that HALOGEN bulbs are better for basking spots and usually waste the least amount of electricity. I looked at a these bulbs when I was in Wal-Mart last night and they look big and bulky. Are they really better than a regular incandescent bulb used for a basking area, and do they save $$$ in the long run. I don't know much about electricity period but if I read the package right it seems like they would give off less light though although someone said the heat is more concentrated so it would be better! Is this right? If anyone else uses these bulbs I would appreciate anything else you can tell me......I'd love to save a $$$, but not at Hoss' expense!
