One thing,,,where do you live?is the temp and humidity right for a free roamer?
Yes you can teach them to use a litter box,,usually with water in it,,they like to poo in water.
You would need a basking spot and a heating pad for cold days and nites for him.
He's really tooo small to free roam without supervision.
We have full grown igs that don't free roam with out supervision.It's impossible to ig proof a room.When you think you have it done,,they show you just what they can get into.
I personally wouldn't recommend it.
