Just as a side note.........
If anyone is going to use pine for any burrowing herp (NOT iguanas - ingestion, plus they obviosly do not burrow) make sure that it is kiln dried. This is effective in removing any phenols and can render it safe. Pine mixed with fallen leaves can be a nice substrate.
DO NOT purchase brands such as Kaytee, which actually advertise the "pleasant smell".
If the bad don't say kiln dried....don't buy!!
