I used the galvanized hardware cloth on the top of our enclosure. Three of the sides are the closet walls and the front is plexiglass. Helps hold in the heat. I know that when kids will accidently put one of the basking lights semi over part of the wood frame of the top, it burns the wood. I don't know how the plastic would hold up.
I'm hoping to have my hubby build a outdoor enclosure this year so Sneakers can enjoy some sunlight and I didn't know that you can get plastic coated hardware cloth. That would be a great idea. Thanks Iguana03.
