hey, i have 4 lizards right now, and i just took one that has cost me PRETTY hefty vet bill(not to mention the other 3) because i took in a sick lizard from a terribly abusive person, but it is doing much better now! besides the vet bills, i have the usual food bills(which arent high for my herbivors, but for my carnivors--watch out!lol) anyway, i was going to take in an iguana from this girl who cant keep both her adult iggs b/c they fight now that the male is in season. i agreed to take him, however i discoverd that he has some type of skin problem. it appears to be a fungus(i could be wrong).it starts out gray, then goes to white, then it will peel, bleed and scab. if the scab comes off the skin(sort of a clearish whitish color under the scab)it appears as if you could almost see through the skin. what is this? anyone heard of it? the girl says that she doesnt have the money for it to see the vet right now(which makes me pretty upset, b/c i feel the igg has been like this for a little while). but other than that the igg appears healthy, happy and active. right now, i would really love to take in another lizard, but i dont know if i can afford to save another while i am still working on saving one. i was hoping that if i can somewhat identify the problem, i may be able to get an estimate as to what it may cost(i really wanna help this guy, but money is tuff right now and it wouldnt be fair to my babies, i am sure you guys know what i mean) if anyone can help me i would really appreciate it, thanks :)
