Anyone familiar with seminal plugs?

My iguana has a seminal plug stuck up there, and as I was trying to get it out, the poop came off of it and it reverted back inside the cloaca. Will it come back out next time he poops, or am I going to have to wait weeks before poop builds up on there and makes it so it gets stuck outside the cloaca. What i'm trying to say is, is there any way to coax it out again, so I can get rid of it?
