In theory yes you could. their lineage has not split enough to make them genetically different enough not too, however most likely there would be somesort of genetic defect during the egg formation that would never let it form, or if it does form, it would be infertile. Hence why they can breed lions and tigers together, or horses and zebras, or horses and donkeys, but all babies of these are infertile. Plus they usually dont live long.
