i think that igs are like dogs/cats in that they kinda 'just have' worms until they're treated ... dogs/cats can be born with them if the mother had them ... if i'm remembering correctly, the worms can go dormant in the adult and be passed on to the unborn ... since an *infant* has an undeveloped immune/defense system, the worms will mulitiply ...
one of our *many* vets told me this when he came to check iZ and our puppy ... but that was the night that he p'd me off so much that i won't call him again .... so i *may* be just imagining the whole conversation ... but i thought he said igs could be hatched having worms ...
