The Melissa Kaplan salad is a good staple to start with, remember, variety is the key with these green fellas. Once a week, u may offer some fruits as well. Bananas are usually relished.
Avoid the infamous lettuce or iceberg lettuce.
Alfalfa may work, or may not, depends on taste.
Red beans are good for the blood, contain iron.
Minced carrots are good for the carotene they contain. Mine used to eat those almost everyday.

For dessert, they like those canned baby fruit 'things'. They have nutrients, and taste good for them. But offer them once in a while, o they'll get hooked!

Avoid any proteins, no crickets or pinkies or worms. Just greens n veggies.

At 5 foot, it shouldn't be too hard to see if it's a lady or a boy.
Look for femoral pores. Prominant ones are male.
Males have very large dewlaps and jowls. Females tend to have smaller, as well as shorter spines.

If u still cant figure it out, haver her probed BY AN EXPERT.

Anything else, just ask. By the way, if it ends up to be a girl, she will still lay unfertile eggs. But that's another story.
