I rarely, if ever, supplement with calcium since I feed a calcium rich diet with the veggies I use. Blood work will show whether you need to and so far his levels are fine in that area.

Since yours is still young, I would possibly try to supplement a couple times per week. Try using cherry flavored tums crushed up instead to see if he likes this flavor better.
