What most people are going to tell you on here that planning to house 2 iguanas together is a very very hard thing to do..they are solitary animals and probably shouldn't be kept together for 24 hours straight.
I have no experiance in keeping 2 iguanas together (nor do i want to invest in another one).
You pretty much can't sex an iguana till it's about a year and a half to 2 years old. Therefore you cannot put one in that's bought from a pet store (most of those are hatchlings anyways). You'd have to look into adopting a female, really, and even then it'd probably be a 4 year old one or so.
Also..when housed together you have to worry about mating, and also the effects OF mating on both mates. I've heard more then one person say serious injuries and/or death can occur from this. I believe also that the female can reject the male all together and constantly fight..
So anyways..what am i getting at? If you decide to house two iguana's together it is preferable to have a full room (so they don't get in each other's way). A 3*3*4 cage won't be big enough for 2, even at 2 1/2 years old.
I believe the common consensus is not to house a female/male together.. however, i know there are a few people on here who do, or let theirs roam together (with constant supervision).
So g'luck..sorry i couldn't be of more help =)
