Because he may need calcium suppliments or a really good bulb like those active bulbs.

If the curvature in the spine then that is most likely a sign of MBD (which is bad!) and can be corrected (in a way) over time. My iguana was a year old when i got him, and i was able to counter some of the calcium defiency he was starting to show, however more then 7 months later i'm still having to make sure his diet is calcium rich (his bones are back to normal).

The toes aren't really a good sign either, and you said they stink? Anyways... i'm not a vet, so i'd just reccomend taking him into a vet so the vet can get to know him, and also to check all these little things out, perhaps do some blood work and a fecal exam so they can check for parasites.

As for cost? (some people that's a big issue) mine is only 27 a visit with 10 dollars for fecal exam. Blood work is more i've hear,d not sure how much more at my vet.

Also - arav.org you can find a vet near you (and make sure they are herp qualified =P) and perhaps call and compare prices.

Anyways, if you HAVE taken him to the vet then ignore me and my ramblings =)
