Anyways..just go to walmart, they sell humidifiers in the med section. I've seen a vicks one and a rubitussen one. I've pretty much heard that those are way cheaper and work great in enclosed reptile cages =)
Personally i can't say if they are great...only time i've used it was in my bf's room cause he likes the noise (think that was a vicks one) but i plan on getting on with the new cage i'm building.
Oh yes..anything acidic (well, fruit is acidic itself) shouldn't be used. Tamatoes are a no no as well..or at least i stay away from them. Fruit they say you should only use 5-10% of in a diet (or at least that's what i stick to) so i know they are getting some just not too much fruit. =) Just spray some water on the greens/veggies and a tiny bit of fruit on the top and they should stay pretty nice looking for awhile (depending on where they are in the cage, i put mine on the cooler side, not where he basks)>
