You cannot really tell that way unless they are older and just overall bulkier like a male. How old is your iguana? If it is still a juvenile, you cannot visually tell...just educated guessing. A good way to tell if he is a bit older is to look underneath the legs at the femoral pores...males have larger ones. Take a photo of your ig's underside...or scan it! And we'll see if we can tell if you post it!
