I am looking for information about the use of Pyrethrin as a pesticide in a garden. I feed my iguana fresh vegetables/greens from my garden but occasionally have insect problems (my collards were nearly wiped out). I know it is best to use no pesticide at all, handpick the pests, etc., but I would like to know if anybody has recommendations about the use of pyrethrins which are organic and supposed to breakdown fairly rapidly. I have read about the use of pyrethrins to treat mites in reptiles also. Would it be safe to feed my iguana 1 - 2 weeks after their use in my garden? Any advice is appreciated.
