Iz's mom....From Mike and Jupiter.. Bite story and questions

Hello. First I have to vent.. not about you. I was trying to clean out Jupiters mouth, and i was holding him with one hand and getting a q-tip with the other.. and the little SOB bit me square on the cheek. Hurt SOOO bad... and he would not let go. I had to pry him off with a q-tip. I am just aggravated no and ticked off and needed to vent. He isn't well trained yet and I know he has to be sore, it just makes me wonder if i should keep him or give him up. Sometimes he seems more trouble than good.
Anyway, If this were to happen again....
1)How should i get him off my face? I didn't want to pull him off and have him take a big chunk of skin with him.
2)Should I have any concern about myself? I cleaned it up with hydrogen peroxide and soap and water... but is there anything else i should do or be worried about.

And now some questions about you and your ig and stomatatitis (sp).
1) You said there may be an underlying cause or something else wrong with the Ig and this mouth rot is a sign. What else did your Ig have?
2) what did your vet do/prescribe? I would like to know just to ask my vet about it as well.
3) If you don't mind, about how much did this cost? Would like to avoid "sticker shock" so i know how much to pull from my savings.

Ya know, i have been bitten on my hand by my bearded dragon, and bitten on my hand by my chameleon, and bitten on my hand by my geckos, but there is definitely something unnerving about being chomped on the face by a 2 and a half foot green giant!!! I am sure everyone has their bite stories, i guess that first one shakes ya up. Ok i am a little more calm. I need to call the vet to make an appointment.... for Jupiter. And to think, I've let him lick me a hundred times, even today... Iwonder why he bit.
