Your missing the point of all this .
#1 Iguanas deprived of uvb will die no two ways about it .
#2 Almost every light bulb you buy put's out SOME uvb this is not saying it is enough . So your iguanas are getting SOME uv .
#3 In the quote above you yourself say your animals get outside . The sun is the BEST source for uvb the uv lights we use are a booster or replacement for the sun . Again your iguanas are getting some uv .
#4 You say "when I first started igs over 10 years ago " where is your 10 year old iguana and what is his blood work like ?
#5 Iguanas live 15 years or more . I know hundreds of iguana owners personally I do not know any older iguanas that do not have uvb .
#6 "plus I have actually turned around an ig that the vet gave me only a month with. He went on to live to be about 6 years old, " Please tell us what his blood work said after this miracle month without uv ..

I have had god knows how many iguanas pass through my doors . It only takes a few seconds of looking at an iguana to tell if they had uv or not . You can tell me all you want about your belief on uv . I think anybody with common sense will belive be and the research . Anybody who wishes to see what uv does simply get your iguanas blood work done turn off the uv for two weeks and have him tested again . The numbers don't lie ..
