50 what ? According to my meter they do in fact put out more UVB then the Reptisun 5.0 . More is NOT always BETTER .

What is your point ? Iguanas do not sit in the sun all day . They spend the majority of there time in the trees where it is shady .

Again what's the point . The uv level does not matter if the iguana is frozen .

Very true . Sunlight is the BEST . Iguanas that get natural sun do better without a doubt .

Well they are the difference between a healthy iguana and one sick with twisted limbs due to MBD .

I have taken in many " basement " iguanas some to far gone to save many not . I took in two iguanas a couple of years ago from a boyfriend and girlfriend they bought them together and each took one home . Both feed zoo med dry food ( CRAP ) and some veggies . One had a 3 foot Repti sun bulb the other did not . I got them when they broke up Jessica's ( the one that listened to me and got the 20 dollar bulb ) was 7 inches longer much more active and greener . Yes there are many other things that could have caused the differences . The fact is In my 18 years of iguana ownership and rescue I could tell 99.999 percent of the time wether or not they used a uv light just by looking at the iguana . If you wish to test this for yourself get your iguanas blood work done dont use your uv light for two weeks then have the blood work done again the results will speak for themselves .
