more on the brand name/storebought light debate

This has come up over the past few weeks on this forum and others, and I was hoping this post would generate some ig owners' opinions on the merits of name brand basking lights versus household bulbs, as well as the differences between standard fluorescent lights and brand name bulbs like the Reptisun. It would be great if everyone would post their opinions so that anyone who was curious could have something to refer back to. Just a thought,
