i tought your post was short, sweet and to the point myself ....
yeah, ig diets can get pretty dang confusing can't they?!
i alaways thought kale was not on the "big no no" list with spinach, but on the "ok sometimes" list along with brocolli ... i feed kale in small amounts ... one week we have it, the next we don't ... the common kind of kale (that's REALLY curly) iZ does NOT like and won't eat a bite of ... but i've recently discovered a different kind of kale at the local c-op that has curly leaves more like chard ... haven't found out it's name yet, but iZ LOVES it!
i went back and read Kevin's comments on his ig den diet cuz i haven't been there for awhile ... his research/opinion makes ALOT of sense ... so i guess this is one of those things that we're all gonna disagree about ... mostly, you have to read everything you can find by people you trust (MK and Kevin @ the ig den!) and decide on our own ... since igs are relatively 'new' on the pet scene (as opposed to cats and dogs) there's not as much info that has been tested and proven for years by dozens of labs ...
whew ... what was i s'posed to be answering???
oh .. amount of each .... it's still not an exact science ... just so you feed mostly greens (maybe70%?), a lesser percentage of vegies (25%), and very little fruit (as nummies on top with vitamins hidden in them at supper time only) .... (that's all *my* recipe consists of ...)

i wish you much luck and success with you mom-to-be! (i'd be freakin' out for sure!) hang in there and take care!
tongue flix + dandelion greenz for you and all you iggies!
: P + : )
