iZ rides in a pet carrier with his favorite blue towel and a hot-water bottle ...
he's almost 6' and he fits comfortably (for SHORT term!) in a carrier that's 24" x 18" x 18" high ...
we pre-heat the car and throw a quilt over the carrier for the trip ...

i used to just wrap him in a quilt, but there have been times that this usually very calm + cooperative baby freaks out ~ especially if he's sick ... this happened going down the highway at 60mph once ... now he rides in the carrier and it's safer for everyone ...
