it. I think it's definitely done wonders for his coloring. He's pretty active, but he was to begin with so that's not changed. He still eats the same though, but he's a steady picker, not a ravenous pig like Abner who will eat4-5 bowls a day. Baby usually downs two, but I think he's coming into his season because the last three days he's been only eating 1. The weather has been yo-yoing so that may have something to do with it.

What I'm worried about is that he likes to climb up top of his cage which puts him within a few inches from the bulb. Is this dangerous? I allow him to stay up there a maximum of 1-2 hours. I think he just loves to be up high where he can rule the roost. If you have any ideas let me know. I don't want him developing cancer! When he's basking in his cage he's about 12 inches from the light.
Sorry, I know this didn't answer cwatbay's question but It got me to thinking. I've had the bulb about two weeks now. Take care, J
