Have you thought about a rescue iguana? They can make wonderful pets
Since you are not looking for a 6ft. Iguana, you may be able to to find a Rescue Ig that has had its
growth stunted by mal-nutrition at a young age, or something like that. But I must say, there is nothing more
impressive than a full grown, healthy Iguana. Since so many Igs are imported each year (I heard 100,000) and
many of them die in transport, while thousands are being cared for by rescuers, I think it becomes even more important
to get Igs that are in need a home first, before contributing to the importation of baby Igs.
Even if you are looking for a baby, try a rescuer. Many times they get in hatchlings, or have a gravid female brought to them.
Just a few thoughts.
There are MANY "free to good home" Igs in Classifieds... Try Yahoo Classifieds, there may be one near you in need of a home.
