I would do combination pvc coated mesh and plexi.
As far as the kiddy pool...you can dry water...my main concern would be changing the water...you may need a sub pump like from a boat or basement to empty out the kiddie pool. Cause the iguana may crap in the pool on a daily basis...so make sure you can change it easy.
