Are you sure that the shots aren't for the infection under the scabs and not for ridding the ig of mites? I'm leaving you a helpful website that goes into detail on how to treat for mites. You might run a search engine here, too, to see if there are any postings on what others have had success with in the past. Maybe you could share the website with your vet & get her opinion before you proceed with any of it.
