Right now I'm doing them myself (like you, when he's laying down, I get as many as I can and then try to remember which ones I missed - LOL). Once I'm sure breeding season is over, I will take him back to the vet. They do it for $5 and I take him maybe once every 3-4 weeks. I had promised them at the vet's office if he started getting aggressive (which he did to a point), I would wait until he was done to bring him back.
