*sigh* I don't even know where to start with this....

OK. I assume you're looking for some suggestions on what to do...

You have two choices:
1. Get the iguana out of the present situation and into an environment where it at least has some chance.
2. Barring that, (since you don't own it), you have to educate the people who do own it.

See below for the scope of the problems:

"She works alot and only feeds him maybe twice a week. He is in a 30 gal tank which i think is as long as him."

If this keeps up, it won't be a problem, because the iguana won't last long. Feed EVERY day, and get a decent sized enclosure.

"I know you "are probably mad already."

No, not really, just tired of dealing with these situations.

"but it is her bfs and she has no time or m
oney and he is ...ignorant or dumb"

Then educate them both! People with no time or money should not own any animal, much less one with the requirements of an iguana.

"anywho. she was told at a pet store to put a green anole in with hammer to get rid of any little bugs that might enter the cage."

Hammer will eventually get rid of the anole.

"I think it is a bad idea for the tiny guy to be in with hammer in such a small space already."

Yes, it is.

"What can i do without hurting her feelings too bad."

You probably can't, but the important thing is the animals, not her feelings! I don't think you can educate these people, so try to get them to give up the ig. If not, it'll be dead soon, along with the anole.

This is an unfortunate situation, but not uncommon. See if you can get a rescue group involved. If you can get them to give up the ig, there are people on this forum who will try to help...
