Need help. coworker mislead. i think.

Hi i don't own an iguana right now but i do have several herps.
Anyway, My coworker has a cute juv. iguana named hammer. She works alot and only feeds him maybe twice a week. He is in a 30 gal tank which i think is as long as him.
I know you are probably mad already. sorry. I don't like it either but it is her bfs and she has no time or money and he is ...ignorant or dumb
anywho. she was told at a pet store to put a green anole in with hammer to get rid of any little bugs that might enter the cage.
I think it is a bad idea for the tiny guy to be in with hammer in such a small space already. obviously the anole was not quaruntined.
I already posted on the anole site.
What can i do without hurting her feelings too bad.
I feel horrible for those 2 herps. thanks guys!
