Id rather someone tell me the facts, straight out and blunt than to beat around the bush, tell a few white lies, pat me on the back and send me on my (naive) way.
Apparently some people take the saying "If you dont have something nice to say, dont say anything at all" to heart instead of good 'ol honesty.
